Dreadstar comic books were created by Jim Starlin. This was the first title in Marvel's "Epic" line of comic books which consisted of Dreadstar book mature story lines. Dreadstar's pacing feels fantastic; zooming between the different factions of galactic political intrigue, the adventures of the crew, and exploring histories/backgrounds/philosophies.
I can only imagine this Omnibus holds up the the previous/5(12). Dreadstar was a sci-fi comic book series created by Jim Starlin and published by Epic Comics (a division of Marvel) in It starred protagonist Vanth Dreadstar book, his somewhat-mentor and right-hand-man, sorcerer Syzygy Darklock, and an ensemble cast of crewmates.

This is classic Starlin. Vanth Dreadstar is a character that is a hero, but not your typical comic book hero. The supporting cast is impressive and one or two provide some comic relief. My only complaint is that as good as this is it isn't as sharp or intense as the Heavy Metal Magazine story in which the character was introduced/5(25).
