Universal Cable Productions has teamed with Benderspink (Ride Along) to develop the superhero comic book Dreadstar into a scripted series. Leading comic . "The Metamorphosis Odyssey: Book Three" Dreadstar # Chad Nevett insists that I treat these issues as one story, and since if I didn't do so, Dreadstar wouldn't make the list (which just seemed so wrong, since obviously enough people voted for parts of this story that it made the list otherwise) so I figured I'd count it this way.

Now, sometime by the end of the year, Starlin will release his first Dreadstar story in 25 years with Dreadstar Returns, an original graphic novel that is now being funded on : Adam Barnhardt. The first complete chapter of Jim Starlin's epic saga, collected in one volume, chronicling the adventures of Vanth Dreadstar, last survivor of the destroyed Milky Way Galaxy.4/5.

Dreadstar comic books were created by Jim Starlin. This was the first title in Marvel's "Epic" line of comic books which consisted of Dreadstar book mature story lines. Dreadstar's pacing feels fantastic; zooming between the different factions of galactic political intrigue, the adventures of the crew, and exploring histories/backgrounds/philosophies.

I can only imagine this Omnibus holds up the the previous/5(12). Dreadstar was a sci-fi comic book series created by Jim Starlin and published by Epic Comics (a division of Marvel) in It starred protagonist Vanth Dreadstar book, his somewhat-mentor and right-hand-man, sorcerer Syzygy Darklock, and an ensemble cast of crewmates.

Dreadstar was the very first comic I'd read under Marvels new Epic imprint. I loved the future sci-fi slant of the comic, which was a breath of fresh air from the many superhero comics I'd been reading for years/5.

This is classic Starlin. Vanth Dreadstar is a character that is a hero, but not your typical comic book hero. The supporting cast is impressive and one or two provide some comic relief. My only complaint is that as good as this is it isn't as sharp or intense as the Heavy Metal Magazine story in which the character was introduced/5(25).

The middle volume of the Classic Dreadstar run by Jim Starlin. This volume collects issues 9 - 24 of the original series. All pencils, inks, and writing is done by Starlin.4/5(1). This reprints the first Dreadstar story, the one that appeared in Epic Comics.

As the inside front cover states, "Originally Published in EPIC ILLUSTRATED #" As far as I know, that's all the Dreadstar stuff that appeared in EPIC ILLUSTRATED/5(9). Vanth Dreadstar returns in an ALL NEW, page adventure by series creator and legendary comic book writer/illustrator Jim Starlin.

Jim Starlin’s classic cosmic epic returns. Over pages of Dreadstar, from the very beginning. This book collects the end of Dreadstar's first era, and predates that unfortunate collapse/5(2). These gorgeous, painted pages, reproduced in black & white, originally appeared in Epic from toand introduced audiences to Vance Dreadstar and the other characters whose saga continued in the Dreadstar graphic novel and/5.

Dreadstar was the very first comic I'd read under Marvels new Epic imprint. I loved the future sci-fi slant of the comic, which was a breath of fresh air from the many superhero comics I'd been reading for years. Starlin's artwork and story was, and still is fantastic,re-readable and enjoyable now, not feeling dated at all.4/5.

In this book we get to see where it all began and also get to see Vanth Dreadstar's back story as well the back story of others such as Syszgy Darklock. The collection features cool, interesting, psychedelic artwork/5. Creation. Dreadstar was the first comic series published by Epic comics, an imprint of Marvel comics in The comic was created by Jim Starlin and it.
